About the role:
We are seeking a Skylight Installer to join our team. You will ensure a secure installation of VELUX skylight and SunTunnel products while maintaining a clean and professional worksite in both residential and commercial settings. As a small and close knit team, we are looking for professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.
This position requires a great deal of physical strength and stamina, as well as an understanding of safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and be excited to grow into this new field. You will be trained by the owner who has been in this business for almost 20 years.
Responsibilities:
Safely remove existing roof sections (if required)
Install new curbs or adapt existing roof openings for skylight placement
Install skylights according to manufacturer specifications and building codes
Flash and seal skylights to ensure watertightness
Install interior finishing touches around the skylight
Assist with hoisting and maneuvering skylights into place
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety protocols
Clean up debris and leave the worksite spotless
Interact with clients in a professional manner
Qualifications:
Experience working at heights, on steep pitches, and with roofing materials, with a preference given to those with 2 years of roofing experience
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs repeatedly
Ability to climb ladders to 20’
Strong understanding of safety procedures for working on roofs
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Manual dexterity and ability to use various hand and power tools
Valid and active driver's license
Need to be tolerant of working in varying temperatures
Benefits:
$26 - $32 hourly depending on experience
