Environmental Project Manager
Robert E. Lee and Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Environmental Project Manager to join our team. This full-time position provides a rewarding opportunity to lead impactful environmental projects within a well-established company. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will oversee project planning, client relationships, and technical execution, playing a key role in advancing our environmental services. This position is ideal for a professional seeking to expand their leadership and management skills in the environmental field.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will lead environmental projects from conception to completion, collaborating closely with clients, regulators, and team members to ensure high-quality outcomes and regulatory compliance. You’ll apply technical expertise, communication skills, and project management acumen to achieve project goals. On any given day, you’ll:
- Oversee investigation and remediation activities for environmental contaminants, following Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter NR700.
- Conduct ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and prepare detailed reports, work plans, and proposals.
- Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery.
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for future projects and collaboration.
Skills and Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering (P.G. and/or P.E. preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the environmental field.
- Strong technical background in environmental investigation, remediation, and NR700 compliance.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in preparing project budgets, proposals, and technical reports.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and develop client relationships.
- Experience with brownfields redevelopment site planning, community engagement, and working with small communities is an asset.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance permitting is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
