Position Overview:
Lawn Maintenance Foreman are responsible for directing the lawn crew in the daily operations of performing high quality lawn maintenance. This position may require the employee to perform all, but not limited to the tasks listed below. The foreman will provide quality service that meets or exceeds our customers and management’s expectations. The employee will show attention to detail and effectively communicate with peers and his/her superior. All foremen must possess a friendly, customer service attitude and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
Daily/Weekly Tasks:
Daily and weekly preparation of the truck, trailer and equipment
Ability to train, manage, and inform crew member on all aspects of lawn maintenance and company software involved in daily and weekly tasks.
Hook up, pull and back trailers.
Daily preparation of materials, load all tools, gas and other necessary equipment.
Secure all equipment safely.
All other duties assigned by management as needed.
Perform lawn maintenance tasks on customers property
Perform all lawn maintenance tasks, including but not limited to mowing, trimming, edging, weed pulling, spraying as per company guidelines.
Manage crew to hit probability mark on each property.
Ability to track progress, issues, and specifications on each property to meet profitability mark.
Meet with homeowners and customers for any questions, comments or concerns.
Teach route specifics to crew member and overall familiarity with properties.
End of the day/week equipment maintenance and reporting
Complete all necessary tasks in preparation for next day.
Unload/load equipment and material, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc. daily.
Wash dirty equipment at the end of the work week including all mower decks and return to storage location.
Report damaged or broken equipment to our mechanic immediately.
Track progress of crew members and new hires for training and evaluations.
Requirements:
Must have a thorough understanding and performance of professional lawn maintenance, time management and supervision of crewmembers.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Posses and maintains a valid U.S drivers license, if in a driving position.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more on a daily basis.
Winter snow work is mandatory 24/7 on call duties that include but not limited to shoveling, plowing, and salting by hand or with equipment.
