The Cook will be primarily responsible for preparing patient meals during meal periods. Hospital production occurs 7-days per week, 365-days per year at high volume and a fast pace. Holidays and weekends may be a required part of the Cook schedule. Organizational skills are necessary. The Cook will need healthy stress management techniques and the ability to work well with others under pressure. The Cook will need the ability to read, interpret and manipulate recipes for all stages of preparation.
We work in a hospital, so you must be comfortable communicating with patients, nurses and guests.
This position requires you to be on your feet, regularly around heat, and regularly push/pull/bend/stoop/lift with weights >40lbs.
