Our trucks are designed to perform under the toughest conditions.JOB SUMMARY:Primary contact for customer and sales support for fire suppression application questions and as it relates to Pierce products. Be responsible for product related information for specifications and proposals in the sales order configurator. Develop and execute marketing plans for Pierce products. Develop effective communications and a positive working relationship with other company employees, supervisors and managers to ensure a team effort in achieving short and long-term company goals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requires understanding of fire suppression systems and application on vehicle; experience as a fire fighter is a plus.

Customer and sales interaction to develop vehicle specification and explain practical application.

Requires and understanding of the fire suppression technologies used in the industry.

Partner with Business Leads to develop the Pierce fire suppression strategy, including strategies with strategic suppliers.

Communicate and coordinate with Business Leads, all items which would be considered product improvements, enhancements and obsolescence.

Have a complete understanding of the sales order configurator and maintain the specification and proposal text, pricing and component compatibility.

Create new sales order configurator components that expand our product offering which include pricing and text that are well defined and accurate.

Plan and develop advertising, brochures, videotapes and media articles on the products.

Provide competitive product information to our Sales Organizations and develop a competitive product database.

Develop and publish product updates related to changes in our product offerings.

Participate on product cost analysis and follow through with action as is deemed necessary.

Participate in market analysis and develop new product ideas pertaining to Pierce products required to increase market share profitability.

Coordinate various training programs such as mini sales school, sales meetings and internal sales and product training as required.

Carry out special assignments and projects that fall within the scope of this description.

Maintain open communicationwith the Sales Department, Product manager and appropriate personnel reporting on all developments and concerns.

Participate in developing and managing specific portions of the department’s expense.

Participate in trade shows and seminars as required.

Host customer lunches and dinners.

Supervisory responsibilities may be required.

Some travel may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.

A minimum of six (6) years of related experience

Substantiated evidence Essential Duties & Responsibilities can be successfully carried out.

Ability to travel 0% up to 30%, this is highly dependent on business cycle and needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience as a fire fighter

Experience with fire suppression applications

Ability to read blueprints

Experience managing customer relationships#LI-KM1

Pay Range:$91,800.00 - $153,200.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
