Description This dynamic position is ideal for a strategic and hands-on professional with extensive experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail grocery, and labeling/packaging. The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive marketing communications strategies across various channels, ensuring that brand messaging is consistent and compelling. The role involves collaborating with multiple teams, including Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Shipping and Distribution, and Purchasing, to develop and implement initiatives that drive brand awareness and customer engagement.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage consistent messaging, branding, and communication across all touchpoints, including digital platforms, print, and packaging.
Lead packaging-related projects, ensuring they align with internal and supplier deadlines, while meeting cost, quality, and compliance standards.
Ensure that product packaging delivers a positive consumer experience, meets regulatory requirements, and follows industry best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute marketing campaigns that resonate with target consumers.
Explore and integrate new communication channels, platforms, and strategies to optimize marketing effectiveness.
Oversee regulatory review and approval of communication materials, including intellectual property markings such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Serve as the sustainability lead for packaging projects, with a focus on advancing sustainability goals.
Manage the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote products and enhance brand messaging.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
10+ years of experience in marketing communications, specifically within CPG, retail grocery, or labeling/packaging industries.
In-depth understanding of sustainability trends and practices as they relate to consumer packaging.
Expertise in labeling laws and regulations, with a focus on overseeing label design and ensuring compliance.
Proven track record of successful project management, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority projects while ensuring collaboration across teams.
This position is on-site 5 days/week in Wheeling, IL
