LGV Driver

As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, you will be responsible for executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. Your primary duties will involve operating a modern and well-maintained fleet on predetermined shift patterns, delivering to HGV-compliant locations.Key responsibilities include:Conducting safe and efficient transportation of goods across the countryAdhering strictly to agreed shift patterns and delivery schedulesExecuting trailer swaps or overseeing live unloading and reloading processes, as per individual customer requirementsEnsuring compliance with all relevant road safety regulations and company policiesMaintaining accurate and timely documentation of all deliveries and collectionsRepresenting DPD professionally in all interactions with customers and the publicReporting any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptlyContinuously monitoring and adapting to changing road conditions and traffic situationsCollaborating effectively with warehouse staff and other drivers to optimize logistics operationsParticipating in regular training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practicesThis role demands a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
