The Quality Engineering Technician will primarily provide support for Incoming Inspection, Calibration, engineering development activities, and support for manufacturing activities. A successful candidate will have proficiency in the use of inspection equipment, comparators, CMM, precision gauges, and hand tools.  Have an understanding and skills in effectively applying Six-Sigma tools to benefit the organization and customers.  This is a hands-on technician position.  The individual can expect to spend their time providing technical assistance with inspection equipment, CMM programming, defective material disposition, Inspection Instructions, Process Audits, equipment maintenance/calibration and, development and execution of data reports on the results of quality inspections.  The Engineering Technician works closely with members of Incoming Inspection, Calibration, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering team.  Responsibilities and Tasks (listed in bullet format) in order of priority to be successfulReview and disposition night vision componentsTraining members of qualityUse engineering drawings to construct and modify Inspection Instructions.Compile, compute, analyze, and present a variety of Inspection data as required.Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, adequacy, and compliance with company and customer requirements. Support qualification, verifications, and validation testing as required. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
