A respected, long-established land development and surveying firm located within 60 minutes of Clarksburg, Weston, and Parkersburg is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join their field operations team.
If you have hands-on experience with Total Station, RTK, and GPS systems—and are ready to step confidently into a leadership role—this opportunity could be a strong fit.
What You’d Be Doing:
Leading a small field crew on a variety of project types, including:
ALTA and boundary surveys
Topographic surveys
Control and construction stakeout
Elevation certificates and subdivision layouts
You’d ensure field accuracy, manage daily logistics, promote safety, and maintain clear communication with a seasoned project management team.

Ideal Background:
3+ years of surveying experience
1+ year as a Crew Chief or in a leadership capacity
Proficiency with Total Station, RTK, and GPS survey tools
Valid driver’s license
Comfortable working outdoors and traveling locally
Able to pass a background and drug screening
Nice-to-haves:
CAD experience
CST or other industry certifications
Familiarity with WV land use rules/regulations
Interest in mentoring junior team members
