Harmer Steel Products Co. is excited to offer the following employment opportunity at our new Davisville, WV branch. Harmer Steel is a leading supplier of railroad rail, crane rail and accessories. Established in 1928, and headquartered in Portland, OR, Harmer Steel has branches across the United States and Canada.

Applicant must:

Possess Valid Driver’s License

Pass Drug Screening

Have reliable transportation to work and ability to show up on time

Have willingness to learn

Be a self-motivated individual with good people skills

Be willing to work some overtime when needed

Experience operating a forklift

Experience using shop machinery

Computer skills are a plus

Job Description:

Successful applicants will be responsible for operating a horizonal bandsaw to accurately cut rail to specified lengths and operate a 100-ton punch machine or hydraulic drill to accurately make specified holes in rail. Other responsibilities include pulling items from inventory and packaging for shipment, keeping shop and work area clean and safe, loading trucks with forklifts, and processing paperwork.
