Job Title: Warehouse Manager

We are a small growing company and looking for talented individuals who can wear many hats and can take the initiative to work and grow without supervision in their role.

As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing employees, and coordinating the scheduling and organization of incoming and outgoing shipments. Your role will be key in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment and ensuring that all paperwork is accurately completed and submitted to the main office. This position will also require some physical labor and the ability to operate a forklift.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Management: Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff. Manage employee schedules and hours to ensure adequate coverage and productivity.

Warehouse Organization: Oversee sorting and organization of inventory to optimize storage and retrieval processes. Ensure that warehouse layout is efficient and space is utilized effectively.

Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule incoming and outgoing truck shipments. Monitor delivery schedules and adjust as necessary to meet operational needs.

Paperwork and Documentation: Prepare and process all necessary documentation for inbound and outbound shipments. Ensure accuracy and timely submission of paperwork to the main office.

Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage stock control to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Assist with periodic inventory audits and reconciliations.

Physical Labor: Perform and oversee physical tasks related to warehouse operations, including lifting, carrying, and moving items as needed.

Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize inventory. Ensure proper handling and safety protocols while using warehouse equipment.

Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to warehouse operations, employee performance, or shipment discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar managerial role within a warehouse setting.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide employees.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse management.

Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts.

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or a degree in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
