Electrical Engineer/Physicist, focusing on electricity delivery systems. The position is a hybrid position located in Morgantown, WV.The candidate will work in a contractor organization supporting the efforts of the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in planning and implementing technology research, development and demonstration activities of the Laboratory. the candidate will provide technical and analytical support for conceptualization, formulation, implementation, and management of programs and projects focusing on electricity delivery systems. The candidate should be knowledgeable in the areas of electric generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption, including the fundamentals of power systems and control systems.Position Requirements:- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 1- 3 years of experience related to energy delivery systems
- Cursory knowledge of North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) compliance, IEC 61850, networking, flow control, and grid operations is preferred
- A high degree of intellectual and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a structured team environment with federal and other technical services contractors
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with often overlapping deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact with clients and colleagues on a daily basis
- Candidate must be results oriented and be able to work on multi-assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
