Environmental Engineer

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support the Federal Remediation Navy Mid-Atlantic program to participate in a team to help execute a variety of Federal investigation/remediation projects with oversight from senior managers. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience and be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.The appropriately qualified applicant will demonstrate experience and working knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements, environmental science principles, and site characterization methods. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support planning and executing projects for the Federal Government (i.e., DoD) in the areas of environmental restorationPerform environmental regulatory research and analysisDevelop and implement environmental solutions and best management practices; and support environmental projectsInterface with clients to identify technical requirementsWrite work planning documents (e.g., UFP-QAPP) and technical reports (e.g., RI, FS, PP, DD/ROD/RD)Lead and assist with field work including sampling and data collection at project sitesParticipate in teams of scientists and technicians in execution of project tasksAnalyze data sets, draw conclusions, and develop risk management recommendationsManage personal workloads; apprising project managers of progress and obstacles, and presenting project outputs for final deliveryMeet required schedules while producing quality workWork independently with minimal supervision and complete multiple tasks under tight deadlinesWork both in a team environment and without supervisionStrong work ethic and professional demeanor
