Job requirements may include to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of plumbing, mechanical, or electrical systems in accordance with local, state, or national codes. Candidate must have his/her basic tools such as mechanic tool set, drill, hammer pliers etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Review maintenance requests, identify and recommend solutions.
Assembles and tests operations of machine to verify correction of malfunction.
Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment.
May weld parts, using act or gas welding equipment.
May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, or relays.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in the trade which may include an apprenticeship and/or applicable vocational training and should include some experience as a fabricator or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Considerable knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the machinist trade. Knowledge of the maintenance and repair of machine shop tools and equipment; knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade. Some knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and welding trades.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft word, Outlook and basic computer skills.
