Guests who visit our hotel often comment on the condition and look of our facilities. Therefore, the maintenance leader and their team play an important role in whether or not our guests decide to return. Thus, the ideal maintenance leader will be focused and committed to the upkeep and curb appeal in and around the hotel. The ideal candidate for this job is proactive, organized, and knowledgeable in a variety of maintenance skills. If this sounds like you, then we would like for you to join our team.

Job Duties:

Completes hotel room and building repairs such as dry wall repairs, replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, and painting. Performs repairs on toilets, sinks, (guest and commercial) laundry facilities, kitchen, ice machines and other areas of the property that need servicing.

Develops and executes plans for completing routine and preventative maintenance and renovations; coordinates work with hotel department managers.

Daily maintains safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel, grounds, pool and exercise room.

Hires, trains, supervises, disciplines, evaluates and terminates other maintenance department personnel.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of two years of hotel or apartment experience.

Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing and swimming pool maintenance.

Experience with general maintenance tools.

Troubleshooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, and carpentry.

Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Pay range: $19 - $25 per hour
