The City of Ellensburg Public Works & Utilities Department has a vacancy for an Energy Rate Analyst.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to contribute to reliable, low cost, clean energy initiatives.
The individual in this position will provide a variety of routine and complex analytical, technical, and administrative work related to the City’s energy program, coordinate communication of energy-related information to the public, schedule training and other meetings for Public Works & Utilities staff and assist in the administration of policies and procedures of the department.
This is a full-time, benefited position. Benefits include medical, dental, life, and disability insurance; VEBA, Retirement under the Washington State Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and paid time off (PTO bank), holidays, and employee choice days.
Salary: $6,455- $7,301/ month plus excellent benefits
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of four (4) year degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field.
Four (4) years of related experience in data analysis/reporting, accounting, analytical work, or statistics.
Please Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of some of the requirements above, as determined by Management.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess a valid State driver’s license, or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment
First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE and/or EXPERIENCE:
Experience in an electric, and/or natural gas utility
Advanced to Expert Excel Skills
SQL experience
Business Intelligence and/or data visualization experience (i.e., PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
