Successful candidate will work closely with the owner to oversee a business with three areas of concern.
1) TractorCo.com: This business imports used/reconditioned tractors from Japan via Vietnam. Tractors and implements are retailed in a regional market. This business has existed since 1994. Currently located in a 20,000 soft warehouse in Thorp, WA. A new freeway location is being setup. You will help oversee operations manager for this business.
2) Rental real estate: Owner has several unique monthly rental properties in Thorp and Cle Elum. You will help oversee.
3) Red Tractor Project: Centerpiece of this project is the 200 acre Elk Heights Ranch in Cle Elum WA.Elements of the project include intentional community, sustainable farming, alternative energy, green building, retreat center, Air B&B rentals, and winery. You will help create and oversee.
Compensation: We can discuss numbers when we find out more about each other. Objective for this person is to start out at a rate that is comfortable for both the person and the company. There will be no problem to quickly generate an income suitable for a very comfortable middle class life including retirement. Supporting both a home and family. After some vetting, there is plenty of room to consider an ownership stake in the company. The lifestyle and income you desire will depend heavily on how you influence the business. The perfect candidate would become part of the succession plan.
Owner Background: Born and raised in Western Washington, the owner is graduated with a science degree from WWU. Spent several years commercial fishing in Alaska. Following college he took advantage of the Navy’s Aviation Officer Candidate Program. This resulted in a 12 year career as a helicopter pilot specializing in special operations and search/rescue. Upon discharge from the Navy the owner created TractorCo.com in 1994 from scratch. At the same time he developed a 33 acre estate in North Bend. Eventually he moved the tractor business to Thorp Wa and started Red Tractor Project. Past times include hiking and biking. He is also a tandem paragliding instructor taking people for their first flights.
