Quality Control Analyst I - BiophysicsClient, headquartered in Redmond, Washington, USA, is a biotechnology company specializing in GMP vaccine product development. Client has a strong portfolio of patented technologies for conjugation chemistry and product stability, among others. They strive for rapid progress from development to product approval to scalable manufacturing and efficient worldwide distribution. Work on current ongoing vaccine projects in the Department of Bacterial Vaccine development.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the entire analytical process, from sample preparation through data analysis using equipment such as HPLC.
  • Knowledge of calibration and operation of HPLC system with empower software.
  • Hands on experience in handling equipment like HPLC, Dionex, GC, UV Visible Spectrophotometer.
  • Write and review Standard Operating Procedures for assays and qualifications associated with timelines.
  • Knowledge on Analytical Method Validation.
  • Periodically present results and summarize progress to team members.
  • Maintain instrumentation in the laboratory.
  • Applicant must have problem solving skills, be able to develop plans for implementation of experiments, and contribute to the analytical group planning.
Technical Competencies:Essential:
  • BS, Life Science with minimum 2+ years of experience in HPLC
  • Should have good communication and writing skills.
Desired:
  • Understanding of ICH, WHO TRS, pharmacopeia guidelines and requirements for vaccine testing.
  • Working experience with Vaccine testing.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
  • Experience prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Use hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate equipment in lab.
  • Ability to sit for long periods to work on a computer.
  • Potential for exposure to hazardous chemicals, gases, fumes, odors, and other hazardous materials.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat, gloves and respiratory protection in some cases
