Harvest Straddle Carrier Driver
Summary/Objective
Blue Star Growers is a pear and apple packing warehouse in Cashmere, Washington. We are accepting applications for Harvest Straddle Carrier Drivers. This position is responsible to operate a straddle carrier to transport fruit bins from one location to another.
Essential Functions
Drive over intercity routes or interstate highways to transport fruit bins from one location to another.
Inspect their truck and trailer at the beginning and end of each day and record any defects and report any mechanical problems to the shop foreman.
Fuel, wash and keep the interior and exterior of their assigned truck clean.
Receive routing instructions from the dispatcher and keep in close contact with the dispatcher regarding their location.
Monitor road conditions, watch for traffic congestion and follow all applicable traffic laws.
Competencies
Current Class A CDL and have a current medical card.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good attendance and punctuality with a flexible schedule as overtime is required during peak periods.
Acceptable Washington State driving record.
