SALARY RANGE

Thestartingwage for this positionis$25.89.With tenurein this rolean employee may earn up to a maximum of$33.61.

Introductory Period:New employees holding regular positions must complete an introductory period of twelve months.

Support Specialist, Engineering Overview

Provide assistance and office support to the Engineering and Project Management Division (EPM). Perform clerical duties and project support tasks such as data entry, invoice processing, preparing correspondence, assisting with project planning, contractor badging, records management, document management (including submittal and bid processing), organizing and maintaining files. Maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers providing information in an efficient, professional and timely manner. This position is the first point of contact for customer service in EPM.

Provide assistance and support to the Real Estate and Fleet Services Departments. Perform clerical duties, data entry, correspondence, records management, organize and maintain files, and other general office support. Qualifications

Experience

- 2+ years clerical support experience with emphasis on customer service required. For engineering role, project management support experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities

A fully skilled incumbent will have the following knowledge skills & abilities:

- Requires strong customer service and verbal skills in communicating effectively and professionally with others.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail while managing frequent interruptions.

- Ability to work collaboratively and provide quality service.

- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well in a team environment and/or under minimal supervision.

- Must successfully complete clerical aptitude testing, including typing at net 40 words per minute.

- Proficiency in Microsoft software applications is required as evident by clerical aptitude testing (Word and Excel at 50%)

- To perform this job successfully, an individual is required to have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word; Microsoft PowerPoint; FileNet; Project Collaboration software; PC hardware; and general office equipment including computers, printers, fax, copiers, phones, etc. Requires knowledge or ability to learn and become proficient in industry related software such as PeopleSoft Financials, Maximo Order Processing, Procore, SharePoint, Blue Beam, Raken and Primavera.

- Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
