We are seeking an experienced Orchard Assistant Manager to join our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, knowledge of orchard management practices, and the ability to work hands-on while guiding a crew.
Requirements:
Supervise and coordinate orchard crew in all daily activities (pruning, thinning, harvest, irrigation, etc.)
oversight of several crew leaders as well as tractor and shuttle fleet
Manage record and time keeping.
Train and mentor crew members
Ensure safety and productivity standards are met
Qualifications:
Previous experience in orchard supervision required
Familiarity with high density apple and cherry planting preferred
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
Bilingual English/Spanish
Valid driver’s license required, pesticide applicator license a plus
