Clinician - Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Program

Clinician needed in the SUD program located at our MLK site. The Substance Use Disorder program offers Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) programming that is tailored for clients who struggle with alcohol and drug use and may need more support than regular outpatient services can offer. The Day Recovery Center partners with clients to improve their functioning and their overall quality of life through sustained recovery.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct intake assessments.Complete comprehensive assessments, brief assessments, and ongoing assessments as needed.Assess clients' needs and develop individualized care plans.Provide/facilitate individual and group counseling to clients with substance abuse disorders.Implement evidence-based treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), Develop crisis plan and provide crisis intervention and follow-up to improve clinical outcomes.Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to care plans as needed.Collaborate with other members of the treatment team and liaise with external agencies such as CSOSA to coordinate care.Provide education and support to clients' families and caregivers.Develop and implement culturally sensitive psychoeducational programs.Provide crisis intervention.Conduct research on substance abuse treatment and preventionAdvocate for policies and programs that support people with substance abuse disorders and their families.Organize, facilitate and /or participate in clinical treatment team meetings.
