Building Enclosure Consultant

AECOM is currently seeking a Building Enclosure Consultant to support our Program Management and Building Commissioning services.This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Generally requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineeringPlans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approachesResponsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experienceWorks under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limitsPreparation of project deliverables, including but not limited to proposals, analysis results, repair alternates, construction drawings, specifications, and technical reportsOn-site investigation, condition assessments, and construction observations, which may include surveying, documenting distress, performance evaluation and field testing, collecting data and samples, and preparing site visit reportsUndertake consulting on facade design, detailing and analysis, and participate in testing, fabrication and construction administrationAdvise architects and clients on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durabilityWell versed in exterior wall construction project phases including but not limited to shop drawing, modeling, design development and construction documentsDocument and maintain technical written reports on project related activityAdvise management on related project performancekey issues, status, scheduling, effort of work and estimates for completionCommunicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job-related management teams Produce details via hand sketching and using 2D and 3D CAD packages as requiredProviding cross-functional support to ensure client needs and internal timelines/project activities are completedMaintain detailed documents and progression of work from initial proposal through completion
