Pay Rate:The pay rate for this job is $22 - $22 / hourWhat you'll be doing as a Fire Watcher:
Monitor for fire hazards while other employees are working
Follow the conditions and requirements stated by the Control Room
In the event of a fire, extinguish it immediately or activate the fire alarm and notify the plant control room
Ensure you and other employees know the location of fire-fighting equipment
Maintain constant communication and keep visual and voice contact with other employees
Inspect the work area before and during each shift for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids
Be ready to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at any time.
Do not leave the job site unattended while work is being done; if you must leave, ensure coverage is maintained
Perform general labor and janitorial duties, such as sweeping and wiping down railings and equipment, without interfering with Fire Watch/Hole Watch duties
Maintain a clean-shaven appearance
Follow directions from the Lead and adhere to task instructions and break schedules
