Summary About the Position: This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre. Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States. Responsibilities Execute studies/projects related to procurement performance/management areas, often requiring cross-functional coordination with Districts/Centers, Regional Contracting offices. Identify potential problems and recommends alternatives for resolution. Administer technical procurement assistance and support to senior Procurement Analysts. Maintain administrative, reference and technical files in accordance with prescribed functional filing system. Update leadership on current changes in reference directives and manuals Present briefings to higher levels. Participate in initiatives to improve the procurement process. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Analyzing procurement regulations for compliance; 2) assisting in the administration of contracts for the organization; 3) performing administrative duties such as fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, power point, filing, and tracking all personnel actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Attention to Detail Contracting/Procurement Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
