Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a meticulous and diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. This role focuses on performing a range of accounting duties, including processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), conducting bank reconciliations, and managing the general ledger. This role is a contract position and offers an opportunity to work in the fast-paced transportation sector.Responsibilities: Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy Manage and update the general ledger as required Prepare and record journal entries for month-end close Proficiently use accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks Process payroll and ensure all accounting entries related to payroll are accurate Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the accounting records Collaborate with other accounting team members to streamline accounting processes Maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial policies and regulations. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to create and manage Journal Entries Experience in Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software Proficiency in Payroll management and Accounting Entries Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
