SMT Inspection Lead (Direct Placement for Client) Sigma Design has collaborated with a full-service electronics manufacturing company seeking an experienced SMT Inspection Lead to join their facility in Vancouver, WA. This company provides prototype and full-turnkey production services for a wide range of customers in the medical, defense, aerospace, unmanned systems, industrial and instrumentation sectors.What is offered

PTO: Vacation Hours accrued at 1.08 per pay period and increase with years of service. Sick hours accrued at 1 hour for every 40 worked. Hours accrued increases at 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, and 15 years.

401K with 3% company match.

Employer paid benefits: AD&D and Basic life insurance, Education Assistance of $1,500 per year.

Day Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:30am-3:30pm with optional Overtime on Friday

$26-$32/hour

Primary Function:

The SMT Inspection Lead is responsible for inspecting circuit boards and providing team guidance.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

Be certified in all areas of inspection.

Inspection, Incoming Inspection, X-ray, AOI operation, and verification.

The ability to understand other’s needs, empathize, and respond effectively.

Effectively communicate with all team members and cross-functional teammates.

Monitor defect data for “high hitters” and report them to production leads.

Send Quality Alerts to Engineers and Production leads.

Analyze production schedule for gaps and arrange team accordingly.

Ensure the team is following procedures.

Ability to read, understand, and navigate in Fusion documentation.

Maintain 6S standards and continually look for ways to improve processes.

Follow safety, ESD, ITAR and QMS protocols.

Actively participate in Lean activities and embrace change.

Follow the procedures as defined in the QMS that pertain to your area or position. Help update procedures and work instructions as needed to match current process.

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

Two years of relevant experience

Knowledge of and ability to inspect to IPC-A-610

Experience inspecting through a microscope

Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills

Good writing skills

Ability to work within a team

Basic computer skills.

IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certified preferred

Prior Final Inspection experience in the electronics industry preferred

Prior inspection experience preferred

Work Environment:

LAB: Standard lab/production environment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
