Perform testing and commissioning of apparatus, protection and control systems on medium and high voltage substations.
Support and perform on site hands-on protective relay testing using relay test sets such as Omicron CMC 256/356 or Doble F6150.
Support and perform on site hands-on apparatus inspection and testing of circuit breakers, transformers, instrumentation transformers
Technical and Safety Development
Support Project Lead or Field Supervisor on projects
Accurately document test results and produce field reports on requested format
Read and understand electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
Perform clerical responsibilities such as timecards, expense reports and project reports
Field travel to project sites
Required Education/Experience
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering; preferably electrical, or electrical technology
Good interpersonal, written and oral, communication skills
Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills, and ability to perform mathematical calculations, working knowledge of computer systems and microprocessor or relay software and project environment skills
Administrative software: MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experienced in managing electrical and/or construction drawings
Valid drivers license
Ability to meet minimum insurability standards based on a Motor Vehicle Report
Ability to pass federal drug and alcohol test
Ability to pass seven (7) year background check
Desired Education/Experience
NETA or NICET II/III certification
Demonstrable expertise electrical protection relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, and GE families) and protective schemes.
Demonstrable knowledge of electrical apparatus fundamentals.
Technical Software for testing purposes and data review: ProTesT, Protection Suite, ENOSERV RTS,
Omicron Test Universe and AcSELerator Quickset
