Will be remote, but need to be local to the Portland, OR area!A large well-known Healthcare Institution is hiring Scheduler/Patient Access Specialist candidates in the Hillsboro, OR area!Job Description:
Answer telephones, make appointments, process referrals, maintain provider templates and appointment schedules, verify patient demographics and insurance coverage.
Confirm, cancel or reschedule appointments as requested.
Screen requests for emergency care & schedule according to guidelines.
Relay pertinent information regarding same day appointments to individual facilities according to established guidelines.
Initiate chart requests for forwarding to providers, for urgent need patients.
Maintain thorough knowledge of provider scheduling protocols.
Qualifications:
Aiming for Healthcare/Medical experience preferred but not required
1 to 2 years of customer service experience required; call center experience a plus
High volume of calls experience preferred
Computer savvy, and able to handle multiple screens
Epic experience is a plus
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
