The Field Training Specialist plays a pivotal leadership role within the organization, responsible for overseeing and managing the training of new employees in an assigned geographic area to provide training/support for new staff to become efficient quickly and strengthen the skills of current staff to ensure consistent operating practices across the company. The company's purpose is to improve more lives, and in pursuit of this goal, we aspire to be the preferred provider of home care services and an employer of choice.Leadership: The Field Training Specialist provides leadership, training, mentoring, and coaching to new and existing operations staff. In alignment with regional objectives, FTS drives training and development of operations staff in alignment with Family Resource Best Practice to ensure staff performance directly supports branch/company strategic goals.Operational Efficiency: FTS is responsible for designing, developing and delivering training programs to optimize proficiency and efficiency in operations roles. FTS provides training, mentoring and coaching utilizing strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills informed by adult learning theory to foster an engaging learning environment, which is expected to yield employee role proficiency within prescribed time limits.Key Job Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive training programs and materials, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, and other resources.

Ensure training programs adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees – including live, conference calls, video recordings and written formats.

Conduct engaging and informative training sessions that may include in-person mentoring, workshops, or virtual training.

Tailor training programs to meet the specific needs of different departments or job roles within the company based upon leadership feedback and company direction.

Provide mentoring when need is identified for further development or improvement plan.

Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments.

In collaboration with supervisor and leadership, identify skill gaps and training opportunities within operations. Create and facilitate a corrective training plan.

Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.

Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify training needs to ensure business objectives and programs are aligned between all departments.

Meets regularly with supervisor to strategize current and future training needs and prioritize training plan.

Maintains records of expenses and timely expense submission.

Support other projects and initiatives as directed by supervisor.

Any other duties as assigned. Position may also be modified to accommodate specific needs.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

Education or experience in the adult learning field

Proven experience as a field trainer or in a similar role

Able to travel to assigned locations as directed by company needs and initiatives

Demonstrated abilities in excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills

Proficiency in training software, e-learning tools, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and adapt training methods to different learning styles

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record

Able to speak, read and write English fluently

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ year experience in long term care or related healthcare field

Working ConditionsThe Field Training Specialist will spend 30-40% of their time in an office environment indoors. This will require time both spent at a computer station for office work and standing. 60-70% of FTS time will be in the field mentoring, coaching, training, or observing administrative staff. The usual business hours for this role will be Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, however this role will require some evening and weekends to meet job requirements.This position will require travel as appropriate, approximately 60-70% of the time.This position will have administrative supervision. Physical RequirementsRole may require frequent standing, walking, sitting, keyboarding, and driving. Occasional twisting, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting. Seldom work above shoulders, and operation of equipment.Position will require the employee to talk and hear. Lifting can range from frequent 10 lbs. or less to seldom lifting of greater than 50 lbs.Direct ReportsThe position will not have any direct reports.
