Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Helper to join our team in Tukwila, WA .Position Responsibilities:

As assigned, perform various duties to help other employees in the performance of their work and/or work alone to perform the following typical duties:

Work around Hazardous Waste.

Stake, file, trim, saw, buff, drill, burr, sand, fill, and use hand power tools required to facilitate assignment.

Sort, count, wrap, unwrap, and clean parts, tools, assemblies, or equipment.

Sweep, clean and pick up material, parts, etc. to maintain machinery, equipment, benches, shop, storage, and work areas in an orderly condition.

Move boxes, material, parts, tools, benches, equipment, blueprints, dollies, skids, etc. Pack and unpack boxes and crates. Feed, load, or remove parts or equipment from machines, dollies, racks, or skids.

Per work order, prints or verbal instruction, apply steel, rubber, metal tag, electro-etch, ink jet, grease pencil, stencil, etc. identification numbers or letters (part mark) to parts, materials, or assembles.

Rack and unrack tubes and material. Apply dust caps and/or seals to end of tubes. Lay out tube orders on worktable to verify no major configuration discrepancies exist between tubes and sample. Seal, identify color band code and part number, using rubber stamp, chemical etch or metal tags. Check tubes for exterior damage. Sort, bundle, wrap, and/or bag tubes and tube orders as procedure calls for.

Assist employees of higher classification in the performance of mechanical duties.

Maintain surveillance over employees working in paint and/or factory assembly areas where company safety procedures require a spotter/standby man for people working on or around aircraft or aircraft sections to assist in the removal to a safe area an employee who has become incapacitated. Immediately notify qualified persons designated to provide aid. Place warning placards where required, check equipment for proper location and notify supervisor of unsafe practices. Assist mechanics, sealers, and assembly employees by supplying material and tools to them upon request. Move, position, connect and disconnect paint and safety equipment such as air hoses, compressor lines, electrical cords, lighting, fans, and ventilation equipment.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must be a minimum of at least 18 years of age.

Must be able to work around Hazardous Waste.

Must be capable to walk, stand, climb, and descend stairs, bend and lift items, package materials and unload materials from containers frequently throughout the shift.

Must be able to lift to 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Preferred to have prior mechanical experience.

Preferred to have prior military aircraft or flight line experience.

Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
