Document Management Analyst II- Utilizes electronic and evidence management and discovery production processes and tools, such as Relativity, Casemap and Sanction, to support investigations.
- Performs detailed indexing of case documents; drafting procedures for accomplishing litigation support assignments; document acquisition related tasks; screening for privilege documents; and conducting database searches.
- Performs detailed reviews and analysis of case documents, which includes financial records, health care materials, and other litigation files.
- Composes written documents in a concise and logical manner; proofreads and edits written documents.
- As required, serves as "team leader" for a group of Document Management Analyst I.
- Receives and track discovery items.
- Communicates with other DOJ components, Federal agencies and others as required during investigations and litigation.
- Utilizes Excel spreadsheets to track information and analyze case statistics.
- Summarizes depositions and other transcripts; maintains case files; and tracks and controls document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery).
- Must be bilingual or multilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Three years of experience on major litigation support projects or undergraduate degree.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Must have excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities.
- Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Oracle, Relativity or other document review platform, Trial Director, etc.
- Should be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems.
- Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
- Certain assignments may require experience or substantial undergraduate coursework in, for example, finance/accounting, health care, or substantial experience in the legal environment or in information technology.
