Position DescriptionDrive Operational Excellence and Financial Accuracy in our Customer Experience and External Affairs Department (CXEA) !Are you a data-driven professional with a keen eye for financial analysis and a passion for optimizing business operations? Do you excel at leveraging financial data to inform strategic decisions and improve efficiency? If so, we are seeking a talented Business Services Analyst to join our team.In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing critical financial support to our Customer Services division, including budget analysis, procurement and contract management, and financial reporting. You will also play a key role in streamlining operational processes and ensuring the efficient utilization of resources.Responsibilities Include:
Procurement Management:
Serve as lead to financial assistants regarding procurement and budget matters. Conduct training, direct and review work, and provide guidance and suggestions for improvement.
Support and manage procurement processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Guide and advise staff on complex solicitation options such as waivers, cooperative purchases, and direct negotiation, and the development of sourcing requests.
Document and communicate development, progress, execution, and close out processes for solicitations and contracts.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Collect, organize, and analyze budget and procurement data, developing comprehensive financial reports using Excel, SmartSheet, Tableau, and other relevant tools.
Track and monitor departmental expenditures, identifying trends and variances, and providing recommendations for cost optimization.
Assist in the development and management of the Customer Services' biennial budget.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
Assist with the development, tracking, and reporting of departmental goals, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
Assist with internal process documentation and make recommendations for improving business processes and policies, with a focus on financial efficiency.
Conduct research to assist with the development and documentation of new business processes and policies, with a strong financial lens.
Technology & Systems Management:
Support/lead mobile device management and similar projects, including financial tracking and reporting.
Serve as a resource for SharePoint/O365, managing the site and ensuring effective data management.
Provide guidance regarding travel, training, and reimbursements, ensuring compliance with financial policy.
QualificationsMinimum EducationBachelor's degree in public or business administration or directly related field Minimum Experience2 years of analytical and/or program coordination/management work in area related to assignment Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education Desired Qualifications
Experience with SAP, Ariba, SmartSheet, and/or Tableau
