We are currently searching for a qualified Lead. This is a full-time position on our day shift. This position offers challenge and opportunity in a small business environment playing a key role in ensuring efficient, effective and economical manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, be a quick and independent thinker, helpful, and able to organize multiple projects in a busy environment under stress and deadlines. The right candidate works well with others, or on their own, is able to think critically, identifies as a problem solver, and a self-starter.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees daily operations in the foundry by coordinating with the Manager to set daily priorities
Work to meet or exceed molding/casting standards, assist the team to work efficiently
Work with management on foundry improvements and cost savings
Help ensure material produced is in accordance with specifications
Follow and enforce all Company policies and procedures
Review shipping requirements and examine outgoing shipments to ensure materials and packaging meets order specifications
Conduct a complete physical inventory each month that will account for all materials stored, received and issued
Follow and enforce all Company policies and procedures
Perform all other duties as deemed necessary
Qualifications:
2+ years experience in manufacturing environment, Lead experience preferred
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, able to lead others
Time management and organizational skills; able to plan and organize multiple projects
Detail oriented and can demonstrate general mathematical skills
Read and understand work orders
Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly abilities
Ability to operate a forklift, pendant operated over-head crane, pneumatic nail guns, table saw, various power and hand tools
Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds routinely
