Spokane Valley manufacturing company looking for a panel technician to build custom industrial control panels.
The Panel Technician is responsible for the physical assembly and wiring of custom industrial control panels. The Panel Technician will manufacture control panels to drawings, including laying out and physically fastening devices to back panels, wiring per schematics and testing the panel to ensure that it is built according to design.
The Panel Technician must be able to understand the fundamentals of electricity and read an electrical schematic. Must be familiar with and comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools. Lifting up to fifty pounds is required for this position. The Panel Technician is expected to take pride in his or her work, paying close attention to detail and taking initiative to constantly learn new things and strive to make the entire team successful.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Panel Tech is responsible for the following:
Dimensionally lay out back panels and externally mounted devices
Mount devices to back panels and enclosures using a variety of methods including drilling and tapping steel, stainless steel and aluminum
Operate computerized terminal, wire labeling and engraving equipment
Wire control panel devices according to provided electrical schematics
Route and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards
Check work to ensure error-free products
Keep red-lines of any changes required during manufacturing and turn in to supervisor upon completion of the project
Maintain a neat, tidy and safe workplace
Safely and Responsibly handle tools provided
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma minimum, Technical Degree or experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits
Ability to operate hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Forklift operational knowledge preferred but not required
Basic computer skills
Good communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Reliable and punctual attendance
