Job description
Century Farms is looking for Seasonal Combine operator for the wheat and canola harvest season. Located in Eastern Washington we grow Wheat, Canola, Peas, Grass Seed, and Alfalfa.
At the direction of the Farm Manager would be responsible for operating a combine over the entire course of harvest. Our machinery is well mandated and modern. This position would run from July 15th to September 1st we are flexible in start and end dates depending on the situation. We are flexible to start and end dates. We have full hookup rv park and would be willing to look at lodging solutions for right person. Lunch and Dinner is provided. A typical day will run from 7:30 am to 9 pm. Overtime after 40 hours
Essential Functions
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Able to drive operate a large horsepower Combine with a hillside kit
Experience in combine operation of at least 3 years required
Keep abreast of the dangers and hazards of products and take proper precautions
Maintain the facility and repair equipment in a safe and dependable operating condition, which enhances operation efficiency and product quality.
Ability to work well independently and work extended hours during busy season
Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment
Ability to lift 50lbs to load agricultural products into trucks and equipment
Must have excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
Desired Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) ·
Must have experience operating large scale equipment
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
Willingness to work extended hours including weekends and holidays as required by seasonal nature of business
