Job description

A distribution center located in the Spokane Valley has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Lead/Inventory Lead position. If you are looking for long term employment with a reputable company, please apply! This position is temp-to-hire after 90 days and a starting wage of $18.50/hr.

Description

Plan and oversee warehouse and shipping operations based on input from Account Manager.

Major Responsibilities

Proactively stay in constant communication with Account Manager in order to coordinate shipping and warehousing activities Maintain the overall general upkeep and housekeeping of the warehouse and surrounding area Train, motivate and coach personnel; work with department manager to resolve personnel issues Help in creating loading schedules Keep track of inventory using inventory management software Do cycle counts Submit loads for pickup We deliver appliances and furniture. We need you to supervise and lead morning load crew in order to get trucks loaded on time and minimize misloads. After loading, you will be keeping track of inventory, shipping and receiving.

Must be able to make quick decisions based on understanding of operational needs in a fast paced environment Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills Ability to lead employees in a safe and productive manner Ability to react positively to rapidly changing priorities Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of people Demonstrated initiative and an eagerness to drive continuous improvement

Education & Experience

Must have at least 2 years similar experience in a high volume warehouse, shipping and receiving, inventory management, warehouse lead Ability to operate dolly/hand truck Ability to operate RF gun Valid driver's license Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs Knowledge of inventory management software. SAP and Manhattan/Scale a huge plus!

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

MUST HAVE A CLEAR BACKGROUND CHECK.

Hours

This is an pre-dawn, Monday-Friday position; shuttles arrive anywhere from 3:00 to 4:30am depending on the day, however, you must be available to work OT on an as-needed basis
