Entry Level Shop Laborer
We are a local Lumber-Metal-Truss manufacturing company that specializes in post frame and pole barn buildings. Currently we are seeking someone who has the drive to learn skills in our metal shop and work directly under the metal shop supervisor.
OVERVIEW:
learn the metal roller machine and work with accuracy for our contractors/customers
learn metal stock and panels
learn the custom metal edge, trim, ridge, angles, corners and other custom cuts and apply
understanding metal order write ups and how to process them to the machine
learn all metal colors, appropriate hardware (screws) for metal orders
monitoring (along with supervisor direction to start) metal coil and hardware inventory
REQUIREMENTS:
solid work history - with references
drug free (including marijuana) to operate machinery
will complete a pre-employment drug screen / randoms after initial drug screening
some metal/lumber industry would be preferred but not a deal breaker
professional mindset and willingness to learn and grow
We are seeking someone who wants to be consistent, professional and willing to be a motivated self-starter for production. Have an eye for detail and assuring customer satisfaction upon loading material. Forklift experience would be great but will train the right individual.
