Join us in transforming lives and building a more inclusive future! Skils’kin has opened a position for a dedicated Recruiter with full-cycle recruitment responsibilities in the Spokane Cross-Functional Team (CFT) and an expanding geographic area.

Position Summary

The Recruiter will champion the mission and values of the company while developing and maintaining positive collaborative relationships with potential candidates, community organizations, vocational agencies, and fellow team-members. Responsibility for the full recruiting-cycle, providing diverse candidate pools for both active and future positions within the CFT.

Essential Job Functions:

Initiate/Maintain recruitment contacts and foster great relationships with various agencies and individuals.

Source candidates and build a talent pipeline through networking and career events, online platforms, social media, and by participating in local professional organizations to include numerous agencies that specialize in people with disabilities and veterans.

Identify and develop diverse and robust candidate pools for both active and future needs for hard to fill positions.

Partner with Hiring Manager(s) to understand position requirements and the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the open position(s).

Work with Hiring Managers to create job postings that are through and alluring to candidates.

Prescreen candidates by reviewing resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.

Schedule, coordinate and assist with interview(s) and related pre-employment skills testing.

Coordinate necessary pre-employment background/reference checks, drug screens, and immunizations, and occupational medical requirements as required for the position.

Extend contingent job offers and be able to communicate thorough position details, compensation and benefit information.

May assist with new hire orientation including completing required forms, background checks, interviewing scheduling, status change forms, and process offer letters.

Complies with AAP and EEO guidelines, ADA, Federal, State and local laws and requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business.

3 to 5 years’ experience in Recruiting, Administrative or Human Resources.

Equivalent combination of experience and education allowed.

Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable security clearances.

Successful experience developing and maintaining diverse relationships.

Other Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license, be at least 18 years of age and have a safe driving record determined by Skils'kin's vehicle insurance carrier.

Must be able to obtain a Federal Contractors Badge upon employment.

Must have empathy and respect for individuals with disabilites.

Compensation & Benefits

Wage Range: $25-$30 per hour DOE.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent sitting, standing and walking; occasionally required to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds and must infrequently lift more than 20 pounds or carry objects with both hands and arms. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment is needed as well as the ability to speak and comprehend the English language to accurately convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels both in person and over telecommunications devices. The employee must be able to receive and understand written and oral communication, and give written and oral instruction. The position requires the ability to calculate mathematic problems and frequently requires visual acuity at 20 inches or less to review written documents.

Environmental Conditions

Hybrid-flexible schedule is possible. The first 90 days at least will be in office for proper training. Must be able to travel to various work locations throughout Washington (and/or out of state).
