Human Resources Manager

Wear-Tek is a Steel Foundry and Machine Facility Located in Spokane, WA. We are currently looking for a full time Human Resources Manager to join our team, and aid in continually improving our business. We have an excellent group of knowledgeable and dedicated people pulling towards the common goals of being profitable, growing the company, and making Wear-Tek a great place to work. Required Skills and Job Duties:

Timekeeping

Tracks and administers the paid leave, employee attendance, and profit-sharing programs.

Manages and conduct disciplinary action for safety violations, attendance issues, and other policy violations

Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.

Performs benefits administration to include group health and voluntary plans; assists employees with plan questions and resolutions, conducts reporting to brokers and communicates benefit information to employees.

Manages annual open Enrollment in collaboration with insurance brokers and carriers by arranging for distribution related materials, assisting with communicating changes to employees through on-site employee presentation and assisting employees with online enrollment.

Administers health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations by processing required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions; coordinates Cobra benefits administration.

Administers leaves of absence and monitors the return to work.

Maintains Human Resources information in the payroll database.

Manages the Workers Comp reporting and case monitoring with the Workers Comp administrator.

Manages unemployment claims

Maintains and updates the Employee Handbook.

Conducts recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt staffing

Performs recruitment and pre-employment transactions for the hiring process.

Conducts new employee onboarding to ensure employees gain an understanding of the Employee Handbook, benefits plans, enrollment provisions, and safety programs.

Handles employee relations counseling, problem resolution, and exit interviewing.

Conducts investigations into employee relations matters, and makes recommendations for a course of action, and policy changes.

Participates in managers meetings and attends other meetings and seminars

Stays abreast of current developments in the Human Resources field including legal requirements.

Demonstrates commitment to Core Values of the organization and helps build character throughout employees.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications and traits-

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable experience.

Understanding of; FMLA, FLSA, ADA, COBRA, DOSH, WAC

Must be fully competent in MS Office products, Excel, Word etc.

Experience handling a high degree of confidentiality.

Self-starter with a high level of initiative and self-motivation. Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when necessary.

Willing to take proactively work toward learning the necessary systems, applications, resources, and tools. Will take advantage of all available resources.

Is a team player who prioritizes the team’s success.

Treats all employees with dignity and respect.

Leads by example, upholds high performance, and personal standards while demonstrating empathy and compassion.

Able to help define business processes / procedures and follow them.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Can operate effectively in periods of uncertainty and navigate ambiguity.

Compensation-

Salaried position 70,000- 90,000 DOE.

Monthly profit-sharing program
