Receptionist Job Responsibilities:
Supports the office by representing the provider; answering and screening telephone calls; scheduling patient appointments; assisting the back-office staff as needed.
Receptionist Job Duties:
-Represents provider by screening incoming telephone calls; recording and transmitting messages; scheduling patient appointments and provider consultations.
-Ensures provider productivity by correctly scheduling patient appointments.
-Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPPA standards.
-Maintains quality results by following and enforcing office standards.
-Serves and protects the health care community by adhering to professional standards, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards.
-Maintains a positive, helpful attitude.
-Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-3:30pm, Friday 9am-2:30pm
Includes a 30-minute paid lunch. We do not offer any benefits other than PTO.
Job Requirements:
-High school diploma, or equivalent required.
-6 months working in an office environment. Demonstratable experience scheduling preferred.

-Excellent problem solving skills
-Phone and computer proficiency, including typing and MS Office software
-Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred

-Ability to think independently and demonstrate good problem-solving skills
-Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with a variety of individuals in a positive manner
