Senior Civil Engineer (8-15+ years)

Come work with a team of engineering professionals dedicated to excellence at Coffman Engineers’ Spokane office.Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Senior Civil Engineer (eight to fifteen+ years) to join our team in applying engineering skills to challenging, rewarding projects. This position includes site design engineering and travel to projects across the country focused on resilience, energy, and sustainability. Project types may include Battery Energy Storage System (BESS); Microgrids; Hydrogen; Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS); Electric Vehicle (EV) and Fleet Charging; Biomass; Solar Photovoltaic (PV); and Wind Energy. Site design experience in the energy market sector is not a requirement, but interest in the project types is encouraged. The successful candidate will be an outgoing, enthusiastic self-starter, with a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team and be willing to have fun!  This successful candidate will be tasked with leading site design, permitting, mentoring and leading civil engineers and drafters, and coordinating with clients, jurisdictions, and counterparts across other offices. This position is in-person from the Spokane office with an option for hybrid work (Thursdays & Fridays). Out-of-town travel will be needed 5%-10% of the time.
