Legacy1864 is a team of dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to our elderly and dementia residents. We serve 20-25 residents at Willow Grove Assisted Living, located in North Spokane. We work with high medical needs as well as Traumatic Brain injury clients. Our team is positive, uplifting, and has a supportive and involved management team. Currently looking for an experienced Activity and Life Skills Manager to help implement PT, crafts, games, activities and social experiences with our residents. Our activities, care and food services teams work together to make our residents lives fun and engaging. We have opportunities for growth through our leadership development class for those looking to increase their skills and supervisory abilities after their first 90 days. You must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities include:

- Having fun with our residents!

- Engaging as many residents as possible to participate in daily activities program and schedule

- Providing and exciting and upbeat morning PT hour

- Crafts, Bingo, Art therapy, Cooking crafts, Nail/Salon, Sports club, and many other FUN experiences

- Small groups for Dementia with sensory and therapeutic touch

- Clubs for clients who enjoy cards and book clubs, gardening, crochet, woodworking, and other higher skilled experiences

- Assistance/support/engagement at mealtimes

- Resident outings, hosting entertainment in the facility, and facility events and seasonal/holiday parties (drive 15 passenger van)

- Schedule and set up of volunteer organizations and individuals

The right team member possesses the following requirements:

- Demonstrates proficiency in arts/crafts/music

- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department

- Must perform proficiently and competently with our clients and team

- Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, volunteers, etc.

- Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information

- Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures

- Excellent communication and team work

- Be organized and efficient, engaging and fun!

- Computer and social media skills are helpful

- Have an eye for design and detail

- Works well with a team

- Be able to pass criminal background check and drug testing

- Caregiving experience and certifications not required but beneficial

- Weekend availability required
