Position Summary:
Our Client Accountants provide bookkeeping services for our small business clients. As a CPA firm, we emphasize having our clients ready for tax season by consulting with them about best practices throughout the year and delivering tax-ready financials to our Tax Accountants. This role is responsible for month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting, excise tax, sales tax, and payroll filings when applicable.

Successful candidates will have advanced knowledge of QuickBooks online and desktop. We are considering full-time and part-time positions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Management of 15-25 client accounts
Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks Online.
Perform financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.
Research when required to keep businesses aligned with applicable laws
Prepare for tax deadlines
Manage bank feeds - categorize transactions, reconcile accounts
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare financial statements and generate detailed reports
Process payroll and prepare payroll taxes
Prepare sales tax and income tax returns as required
Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
Review accounting information supplied by clients; contact the client with questions and request additional or clarifying information.
Apply a solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles relative to individual client assignments.
Provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness, and commitment to understanding their goals and needs through written and verbal communication.
Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
Special projects and reports as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, (or a related field) from an accredited university or college, or combination of applicable education and experience.
3+ years of full-charge experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop
Adaptable: can adopt new and sometimes changing processes efficiently.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment and foster positive and collaborative work habits with a positive, “Can Do!” attitude.
Must possess the ability to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of timelines and budgets.
Ability to work full-time day shift including core business hours. Willingness to contribute according to the projects and workload assigned.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, & Outlook).
Must possess superior attention to detail, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and be able to translate business and technical requirements into workable solutions.
Must possess excellent presentation skills (written and verbal) with an ability to communicate directly with clients, colleagues, and service providers.
