About You: If you're a skilled Forklift Operator with at least one year of recent forklift experience, and you're interested in joining a busy and productive team, we encourage you to consider this immediate opportunity at our Bellingham location.
Schedule: This is a full-time hourly position that works day shift (5:00 am to 1:30 pm, Mon-Fri), with potential to work overtime, including on Saturdays, based on production needs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; initially pass company forklift certification training, and keep certification current, per company requirements.
Organize and prepare materials for movement, per production schedule.
Perform standard upkeep procedures for forklift; immediately report any safety concerns to supervisor or maintenance manager.
Work cooperatively within and across departments.
Assist with grading and patching (will be trained).
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to perform basic math functions (add; subtract; multiply; divide) and read/understand English to follow production schedule, customer order tickets, safety policies, and work instructions.
Minimum of one year of recent forklift experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with a production schedule. Current certification is not required to apply; the candidate will need to successfully complete the company's forklift certification class.
Ability to timely move materials in a safe and efficient manner, per assigned schedule. Requires excellent time management and organization skills.
Must be extremely safety-minded; be willing and able to comply with all safety rules and PPE requirements, including wearing a seatbelt.
This position may also perform grading and patching duties (will be trained). Requires a sharp eye for detail, to distinguish and differentiate between colors and wood species, and to detect defects/damage.
Must be willing and available to work overtime, including on Saturdays.
