Local landscape company and materials manufacturer seeks experienced diesel & heavy equipment mechanic assistant to help in servicing and repairing heavy equipment, medium duty trucks and equipment (will look at PT or FT applicants). Applicant would assist the lead mechanic with maintenance of class-A diesel trucks, live-floor & equipment trailers, wheel loaders, excavators, tub grinders/soil screeners and other heavy equipment used in the production of landscape materials.
Medium to intermediate diesel engine knowledge, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge preferred. Please bring your own tools and supplement them with shop machinery and equipment. Able to operate trucks and loaders for inspection if necessary. Make field and emergency repairs. Some evenings and partial weekends required to ensure our busy fleet remains active. Flexible hours are ok provided that needed work is accomplished in a timely manner. Formal training not required but a plus. CDL or forklift safety training not required but a plus. Overall work experience considered to set a competitive wage.
