The ideal manager would be a female who lives a sober lifestyle and is personally in recovery or who is familiar with substance use disorder and is willing and able to follow and enforce general house rules.

This position works directly with women in early recovery, providing structure and support to women seeking to establish stable long-term recovery from a substance use disorder. The House Manager oversees daily operations of the home including: knowing the house rules and enforcing them, managing, and coordinating daily housekeeping tasks, leading one weekly house meeting, conducting inspections, performing random drug testing as scheduled, and a weekly meeting with the Executive Director to check-in.

Ideal candidates must live a sober lifestyle and have 6 months of consecutive sobriety, be able to live with a community of women, be willing to commit to house rules (i.e. nightly 10 PM curfew), have strong leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, be able to maintain organized records, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, effectively address emergency situations if needed, and be able to interact appropriately and professionally with women who are working on their recovery.

This position is compensated with free room and board (a private furnished room with all utilities included) for taking on the responsibility of managing the house. Total job responsibilities would be about 4 hours per week. House managers are permitted to work their own full-time job in addition to working in the House Manager role, as long as they have presence in the home.

If interested in applying, please send an email with answers to the following questions. Successful applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview.

- Are you in recovery from substance use disorder or do you have experience with family/friends in recovery? Please describe your experience.

- Do you live a sober lifestyle? Do you have 6 months of consecutive sobriety? If not, please explain.

- Have you ever lived with a community of women or with multiple roommates? Please describe your experience.

Please describe an example of a time you have had to have a difficult conversation with someone and what the outcome was.

- Why would you be a good fit for this role?
