Parts Room Attendant
Location: Burlington, WA

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for unloading freight, receiving, placing stock orders, locating the parts into the assigned locations, and retrieving parts for the production team members. The position is also responsible for maintaining and cleaning all assigned areas. All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in compliance with applicable Munson Boats policies and procedures.
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
Using the database in the receiving of parts
Unloading freight by hand on occasion.
Receive and inspect parts as they come in and place in proper location.
Complete transaction when parts are received in the database.
Notify when parts have been received for another department.
Perform periodic cycle counts and inventories.
Update part information within the database.
Placing weekly stock orders
Follows all work safety policies and guidelines.
Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
Adheres to all Munson Boats standards and guidelines.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Performs other duties assigned.
Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the individual should possess the following skills:
Superior oral and written communication skills
High levels of organization and attention to details.
Basic math skills
Knowledge of basic boat and marine industry terms and parts.
Parts room experience
Ability to assess a situation and make a responsible decision
Ability to work with interruptions
Alpha and numeric recognition
Concentration skills and a good memory
Self-motivated, self-starter
Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift over 50 lbs.; push or pull over 100 lbs.
Hand/eye coordination
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, climb, sit, and kneel
This position offers little sitting time. The majority of time will be standing, walking, climbing, bending and stooping.
Exposure to extreme environmental conditions such as cold, heat, dry and wet.
Experience:
Six months previous knowledge of inventory control, parts or stock room experience preferred.
Six months previous knowledge of the maritime industry, specifically in regards to marine parts preferred.
