Whidbey Commissary Shelf Stocker - Nights

Compensation and Benefits:

$17.34/Hour (Current Department of Labor Wage Determination Rate)

Excellent benefits package:

Health and Welfare benefit ($4.41/Hour) pays for health insurance after 60 days of employment. Optional dental/vision – cost is out of pocket.

11 Paid holidays

Paid sick leave – accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked

Up to 2 weeks paid vacation per year after one year of employment

401k matching after one year of employment, up to 4%

Paid Life insurance: $50,000 after 90 days of employment

Longevity stipend with Board of Directors approval

Schedule: Monday-Saturday 8:00pm-5:30am totaling 35-40 hours per week (ending time varies depending on case load), with Sunday night off and an additional night off during the week.

Requirements:

Ability to pass NAS Whidbey Background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies prohibit base access.

A reliable shelf stocking crew member who stocks the Commissary.

Prior stocking experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include:

Operating pallet jacks to bring large pallets of cases throughout the store. Stacking empty pallets.

Safely opening cardboard boxes with use of a box cutter

Placing product on shelves in an efficient manner

Reading UPC codes to accurately place product in the designated area

Bailing cardboard as needed

Physical Requirements and Essential Functions:

Ability to endure up to 7 hours a day of standing and walking.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.

Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routines. Must be able to work well with others.

Good time management skills. Must carry out instructions and pay attention to detail.

Maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. Must wear full-length pants and close-toed shoes.
