Chinook Enterprises is taking applications for a Full-Time Seasonal/Temporary Landscaping Specialist to join our Landscaping Division in providing quality landscape maintenance to our contracts within Skagit County. Level I (entry level) and Level II (experienced) are welcome to apply! This position may have the opportunity to develop into Regular Full-Time, beyond the season.

POSITION SUMMARY

As requirements vary, this position description is a guideline and may change. The primary function of this position will include but is not limited to performing landscaping maintenance off-site through the community. This position involves a high degree of community visibility and requires a person to operate tractors, hand mowers, edgers, wheelbarrows and other landscape maintenance equipment. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge in the operation of this equipment. The functions listed below are general in nature and apply to all Chinook Enterprises Landscaping Specialists.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Knowledge of landscaping maintenance equipment operation, preferred. (Level I)

A minimum of one years’ experience in landscape maintenance required. (Level II)

Skills & Abilities

Able to use various types of hand tools and/or hand-held power tools and equipment.

Able to work in a high-paced environment in all types of weather conditions.

Must possess independent decision-making skills regarding accuracy and quality of assigned tasks.

Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Must be detail oriented.

Must be willing to work non-standard working hours when contract needs demand.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must display initiative, ability to learn, flexibility, and self-discipline.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Must present and maintain a professional image to consumers.

Ability to adhere to corporate policies as detailed in the Employee Policies and Procedures Handbook.

Other

The selected candidate will be required to provide proof of the COVID-19 vaccination prior to hire, unless appropriately accommodated.

Required Washington State Driver’s license, basic vehicle liability insurance and be insurable.

Must be able to pass WA State Patrol and DSHS Background Checks.

Must have, or obtain, a CPR certificate within six months of employment or current certification upon hire.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Days and Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Starting Wage:

Level I: $16.73 - $20.00 DOE

Level II: $20.25 - $24.20 DOE

Benefits: As a Seasonal employee this position does not include Chinook Enterprises employee benefits. The company provides WA State Paid Sick Time, Unemployment Insurance and Labor & Industries Accident Insurance.
